Danesfort is one of the finest and most impressive High Victorian mansions in Ulster, if not Ireland. It has been the home of the US Consulate since 2003, who have taken the utmost care to ensure the building is perfectly preserved. Essential security measures are sensitive and reversible. Built in 1864 by Newry born Architect J. W.
